La agrupación se presentará el 3 de marzo en Teatro Caupolicán
Hablamos con el creador del sexteto holandés Epica; Mark Jansen, quien nos comenta algunos detalles de lo que se viene con la fecha en Chile y los futuros tanto de la banda, como sus otros proyectos.

R: Bien, gracias. Recién desperté después de dormir 6 horas en el avión, así que me siento increíble como pueden imaginar jaja.

R: Great thank you, just woke up after 6 hours sleep in an airplane so I feel amazing as you can imagine haha.
2. Visitarán el país un vez más en marzo ¿Cómo se siente para ustedes el estar de vuelta en Chile?
R: No podemos esperar a regresar. Chile siempre ha sido uno de los mejores países en el mundo para nosotros para tocar, el público es muy ruidoso, salvaje y enérgico.

2. You’re visiting the country once again in march ¿How does it feel for you to be back in Chile?
R: We can’t wait to be back. Chile always has been one of the best countries in the world for us to play as the crowd is so loud, wild and energetic.

3. Este regreso marca la promoción del último disco, ‘The Holographic Principle’ ¿Cómo crees que ha sido la recepción de éste?
R: Fue muy bien recibido, incluso algunos dicen que es el mejor de nuestra carrera y que será difícil de igualar. Veremos, con cada disco intentamos crear el mejor álbum posible y no descansamos hasta que estamos completamente satisfechos con el resultado.

3. This return marks the promotion of the last album ‘The Holographic Principle’ ¿How do you think it has been the reception of it?
R: It was received very well, some say even the best of our career which will be hard to top. We will see, with every album we try to create the best possible album and we don’t rest until we are completely satisfied about the outcome.
4. ¿Qué cosas especiales pueden esperar los fanáticos de este show?
R: Nuestros ingenieros siempre están ocupados pensando en poner luces y sonidos especiales. Ellos quieren lo mejor, por eso los contratamos. Siempre se trata que está disponible en el país y cómo usarlo de la mejor manera para crear un show único de Epica. El setlist también será bastante diferente al de la última vez.

4. ¿Which special things can expect the fans of this show?
R: Our engineers are always busy thinking about a special light and sound show. They want the best, that’s why we hire them. It’s always a matter of seeing what’s available in a country and how to use it the best way to create a unique Epica show. The setlist will be quite different from alst time too.
5. ¿Cuáles son los planes para el cercano futuro de Epica?
R: Después de la gira de ‘The Holographic Principle’, el cual terminará en septiembre de este año, tomaremos nuestro tiempo para trabajar en un nuevo disco pero tomará tiempo antes de ser lanzado, porque no queremos apurar las cosas y queremos la más alta calidad posible. Mi otra banda, MaYaN, hará algunas giras después de septiembre ya que lanzaremos un disco en este mismo mes (septiembre).

5. ¿Which are the plans for the near future of Epica?

R: After the THP tour, which will end in September of this year we will take our time to work on a new album but it will take a while before we release it as we don’t want to rush things and want the highest quality possible. My other band MaYaN will do some touring after September as we release a new album in September with MaYaN.
6. La banda recién cumplió 15 años de carrera musical ¿Cómo se sienten con esto?
R: Nos tiene muy orgullosos, es un gran logro. Sería genial agregar otros 15, es siempre una cuestión de balancear tu carrera profesional con tu vida personal, así que si logramos hacerlo, otros 15 años podrían ser posibles.

6. The band just turned 15 years old of musical career ¿How do you all feel with this?
R: It makes us very proud, it’s quite an achievement. It would be great to add another 15, it’s always a matter of balancing your professional career with your private life so if we manage to do so another 15 years should be possible.
7. ¿Pueden darnos un saludo para los seguidores de Chile?
R: Nos vemos todos en marzo, no puedo esperar más!
